Me and some buddies loaded up last night about 10pm and hit the woods.  We hit the first water hole and it came up empty,  we loaded back up and moved to another spot a few miles away.  Dropped my buddies dogs at the next water and they came bayed at 800 yards.  We had all our boys with us so since they are faster than us they caught and stuck a good sow.  A couple dogs got overheated so we hung around for awhile before leaving.  We decided to go back and check the first water hole again just in case,  dropped dogs and 3 dogs were gone.  After about 10 min they bayed for about 30 seconds and the hog broke and the race was on.  450 yards later all 3 dogs showed treed so we headed to them, got to about 100 yrds, turned truck off and heard squealing, i figured it was a small hog cus it squealed like a 30 lbs shoat.  As i got closer i see my cat x pit and my buddies Bmc hangin on the ears of this big boy and the other dogs on him also.  My buddies son legged him but couldnt flip him so i grabbed a leg and got him down, my boy got in there and stuck him and he was done.  He was sure healthy considering our severe drought,  his teeth aren't the biggest but he is the biggest we run into in awhile.  All in all we had a blast and only 1 dog got a couple little cuts.

Nice boar hog.  I like the looks of that Whiskey cat.  Good looking dog.

I was raised in La Vernia, probably not as far south as you.   I'm a Yankee now - live in north Texas.
