Some of mine, and my mates' dogs... Bull Arab, running catch dog, decent nose, hard and fast.  Am. Bulldog x Pitbull/Mastiff/Boxer/Wolfhound, hard little bitch, lead in/running catch dog.  Some of my catahoulas on my hunting rig.   |

Nice photo spread. It'd be nice to visit Australia and bay some hogs.

Awesome pics and nice dogs too mate. Are you hunting N.S.W ? Im originally from Finley N.S.W. down by the VIC. border but i have lived here in the states bout 10 years now.

I run some big Tolson bred Blackmouth dogs,definately on the larger side for over here. And i use american bulldogs for my lead in catch dogs. If you click on my user name then scroll down to "view the last post of this member" you can scroll back through and see my dogs. We hunted out around Deniliquin and as far up as hay and even made some good week trips to Mooree and Gundiwindi and used Stag/Wolfhound and ridgebacks.

I speak a lot to American hunters, mostly from Al and Ms, and our pigs don't run anything like some of those big ol' hogs those guys get onto, but in some areas the pigs here are pretty slippery. Just depends on how much hunting pressure they are under, and also the numbers of wild dogs/dingos in the area. Generally, Aussie hunters don't catch and release so our pigs are not as dog/hunter savvy either. Cheers. |
