what are you referring to as gator? i've never heard of this...i know of rodriguez' gator down from crenshaw's jeep/honeybunch fame. they are ampbt so half gator half ampbt is just a full pit bull terrier, they are one in the same. i'm not being a smart ass just wanting clarfication so that when i talk/read about this and someone mentions gator i know what they are talking about.. |

And yea your right it comes from crenshaws Gator and Plumbers Alligator. |

alright i guess..i bred pits for some 10-15 yrs and just started seeing this and didn't really know what people were meaning by gator...is gator mouth a certain blood line or is it a certain look or it is ability..if it were referring to ability we just said they were a hard mouth pit..if they didn't bite hard we said they were soft mouthed...times change terms change i guess..
