My buddy told me this story and I thought it was funny. If any of you have a similar story post it.

In his younger days he shot a buck out of season and took it home to clean it. Someone ratted him out and as he was in his barn cleaning the deer he saw the game warden pulling up. He grabbed the dear and ran it into the woods and came back and hid in the barn. The game warden knocked on the door and his young son answered. Game warden asks "Where is your daddy?"  Son says "Oh, he's out back cleaning a deer".  He spent 9 days on the road crew cleaning ditches, lost his gun and payed a fine. Every time I hear the story I laugh.
I know a few of you guys have something similar. Lets hear it.

it was a lil out of season, shot a young doe, circled the block and give her about 30min to bleed out and die, made the circle to her, she was gone. blood everywhere. i get out, walk to where the blood was and it looked like some1 took a 5gal bucket of blood and threw it all over the ground, i noticed a bloodtrail leading to a guys house. we drive slowly by the guys house and could see him at the corner of his house cleaning it. he saw us and waved to us and said thanks alot for the meat. its not like we could call the oppossum sherrif and complain. we drove around and found another 1, put her on the ground, loaded her and got pulled over by a state trooper, who called the warden who wrote me a ticket and again got my deer takin away. wasnt a good day, but from that day on, i do everything by the book, with milimeters of deviation from the law. i deff learned a leason.

Really?  I'm surprised.  Not sure what to think about these, um, stories.  I have shot many deer, but never shot one "out of season" or after dark or too many.

season is what you put on the deer meat and as far as dark, it is daylight somewhere.  Grin

One evening had a deer in the tool box coming back from the deer lease well me and my same cousin once again pulled up to a vehicle checkpoint with state troopers county cops and all well we live in a small town so everyone  knew who we were we told them we were coming from deer camp that's why we had the guns they told us that was fine but it wouldn't be fair for them to not check our truck but to check every one else's so we agreed to get out and let them search well we are standing on the passenger side of the truck when I realize there was blood dripping out of the tool box and down threw the drain while in the truck bed well the drug dog made a couple loops around the truck walked right over the blood like it wasn't even there and went back to the officer they told us alright boys have a good night we got in the truck took off down the road my cousin looked over at me and said " I tell you one thing that dang sure ain't no deer dog" maybe I should quit hanging out with him seems like we always have close encounters

I like the way you put that personally I don't see a thing wrong with as long as you are getting the meat and not just killing to be killing
