I think I know what you're talking about. I have one on mine. I'm not crazy about it at all. I'd rather have one that was flat and didn't drop down.

I like it.  I have one on mine.  I cut a piece of ply wood to make it a flat rack with sides and then cut a door in the back part so that I have storage underneath.

By the way, the only reason I don't like mine is because none of my coolers fit in it and I like to have an ice cold beverage handy while riding.

I have one with a tailgate on it, I open it up and put my cross bar across the front to latch my dog's in and the ride in the drop down with the tailgate opened up......Kid of like a dog rack on the back of a 4 wheeler that I never have to move.....HAHAHA!!!

It's heavy ... Broke the bracket , had to have a new bracket welded on.

I'm not sure who owns this but it's what I need to do to mine.

Hope all that helps

I like mine. Bulldog rides in the basket. The only problem I have is that it makes my four wheeler longer and I cant shut the gates on my 16 ft. stock trailer if I load it and my Rhino. I have to tie the gate with a tie rope, but it's no big deal. Like I said though, I like mine.

"Hey Chris, you didn't like your drop basket??"

Im not in love with it but it's what I'm using for now. I think once I rig up a shock to support it and keep it from breaking the mounting brackets I'll enjoy it a lot more.

Just wondering... With the shock setup, what happens when the back axle of that Honda pivots when riding on uneven terrain? Seems to me the shock would be doing a lot of pulling and pushing on the rack instead of supporting it.

Take them alive ,
I got that on Clarence at a Honda dealer for 20 bucks ... It fits perfect on that rack. I found one on e-bay just now .. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Honda-Foreman-Rubicon-500-2001-04-Rear-Rack-Extensions-/330417303010
you might get lucky callin around the Honda dealers .. My set up is a Kolpin ATV Rear Basket with fold down tailgate and a
Honda Foreman Rubicon 500 ATV Rear Rack Extension attached with hose clamps.  Hope that helps some
