don't have a mtn cur worth talking about right now...but I will be getting a decent one when I get back home from vacationing with the wife and grand kids...

I had a great time and got to see some good dog work...lots of bottom to the dogs and plenty of the right kind of grit...most of you hog hunters probably wouldn't like some of them dogs cause they open some after the hog breaks...but they catch plenty of hogs... Grin Smiley Wink

Talking about getting tired...I was up at about 5:30 the morning before and was up till the following day at a little after 12 noon...Jesse Paul and Pete picked me up at 7:30 PM and dropped me back off a little after 12 noon the next day...

Ole Pete has some range to him as well as some bottom to say the least...

Had a good time Reuben

Your right most people wouldnt like my dogs but I do and that's all that matters !! They  been averageing me 80 to 100 hogs a month with all that barkin I like to hear a good race !!

When you get your mountain curs and your pack where you want them bring them up and lets see what they got I would love to see them !!

Good hogs !  Aint noting wrong with a dog that squeaks on the tail end of a hog mine do the same thing a lot of the time only thing that stops us most the time is the River.
Rueben about 8 10 yrs ago I had a ole Mt Cur named Cleteus he was one hell of a dog big boar hog ended up getting him .  Natural bob tailed dog. Never got to get him bred.

JP...thanks for the invite...I should have a few good ones by the following winter...

THD...to bad you lost that dog before you got a chance to breed him...especially if he had some good blood behind him...but you have some good dogs now...

Mike...them mountains are pretty tough...I made it up one about a third of the way...I was glad to just see the pic on that one... Grin
I was thinking my 4x4 Wheeler would beat me to death going over the rocks. I was impressed with the 4x4 JP hogdogmobile...

Hey JP, are you killing all the 80-100?

Hunted a spot last summer that we caught 40-80 each month for several months but it's now been clean since march.
I know lots of my customers out your way have a decent population though.

No sarcasm here, just wondering, I know last time I hunted in mountain home it was a kill all mission which was obviously needed and just fine by me.

I guess I was more or less wondering what your sustainable population is in the hills. Most of the folks I have been blessed enough to come in contact with also employ helicopters to "irradicate", and let me come out after to run off of feeders the last few in the high fence boundaries.

Well most places I hunt arnt  high fences and they can't hardly kill any out of helicopters here in these deep canyons and hills plus theres not a hog hunter under every bush out here !
