It depends on what kind of acid. If it is Hydrofluoric acid get your will in order and tell everyone good bye.

Baking soda will nutralize the acid. Use soapy water to clean up after the baking soda

I am completely serious about Hydrofluoric acid. It turns your heart to stone literally. You should never have that where it can get on anything besides the glass or metal you're working on.

Most acids baking soda and lots of water. If you have burns you should see a doctor because they can be worse than they look.

Rinse thoroughly with cool water for a minimum of 15 minutes, if you notice any burning or redness getting worse then yes go to the doc. But flush thoroughly and you should be ok

Throw the shoes and socks away and any other clothes it got on. One it will eat the cloth but it will also stay in the cloth and burn you when you put it back on. It is not owrth the trouble so throw away anything it got on. I knew a guy that had a car battery blow up in his face. He looked like a horror movie for a while but it healed up and he went back to the same ugly he was before. Grin But acid is no joke at all.

I work in a plant that handles a ton of sulfuric acid and all I know to do when it contacts skin is wash with large amounts of water. Not sure about other acids but sulfuric gets stronger when mixed with water so you really need to wash it off the skin not just get it wet. I haven't seen anyone get a large amount of it on them not sure what they do for that
