Cantexduck, where do u see level 7?  I don't see the best u r talking about.  I appreciate all the good input.

Please don't get me wrong, I am sure the Hardcore vest is a very good one. There are things I like about it, I am just not convinced it is the best for the money.

THat was underneath the tank vest. My vote is for the four later Titan vest. 280.00 or around that. There is a reason why so many use it.

That seat belt vest looks cool and im sure it holds up... seat belt material is tough, but look at how many areas of the dogs body is exposed and liable to get cut Sad it doesn't cover the dog very good maybe on a strike dog it would be good but not on a catch dog
Yeah that particular vest is called the leg hole. Its meant to give your gritty bay dog added protection without the bulk.
The full comes with leg flaps and more coverage in the ribb area, however these vests ARE built for dogs meant to be mobile and give the absolute best range of motion. A lead in CD style vest can be custom made with added layers as well as any of the other syles and at a reasonable price as well.
I still believe kevlar is an over rated material, and its always been touted as best for stopping blunt force objects (bullets), but sharp objects not so much (knives, boar tusks).

Well guys we all have our opinions all I can go on is from my own personal experiences I started vesting up my dogs 6 years ago before it was all bay and shoot,I started with xtreme outdoor vest which didn't last, then went to custom vest didn't last then p& p which held up really well but is super heavy and had some good boars rip thru all 7 layers and cut the dog up , so I got on this website and asked if anyone ran a kevlar vest and what they though and everyone recomended uglydog so i got there level 2 vest which got shredded I'd it didn't hit the black plates it would pass completely thru so my buddie got the devestator and almost got his dog killed and I know a guy that runs hard that uses the kevlar Titan and he gets pass thrus every once and a while so we got us some hardcore tank vest and havnt had a pass thru yet that's with one layer of military grade kevlar 850+ I'm sure it'll happen one day cause we run hard (3-5) days a week but I'm sold
