I haven't been on the board in months so I don't know a lot of the newer guys on here. Seems a lot of the old guys aren't on here anymore either....
Anyway, I had someone text me and ask me about that pup you posted a pic out of. I bred the mother to that pup (Monkey x JJ) and she isn't but about a year old. She turned a year old in July I think. I called her Tar Baby, not sure what the guy calls her now. I was asked if JJ's dam was a black & tan but it was her grandmother that was a black & tan dog.
Thought I would post a couple pics you may not have seen to give you an idea of what the dogs on the dam's side look like. I don't know anything about the sire of your pup.
Couple pics of my Monkey dog. He turned 8 in June and like me, is slowing down some. He has been a good dog for me and I have caught/bayed a lot of hogs with him on many different properties. I think that shows what a dog is made of, if he can produce hogs on private land where hogs aren't pressured, on public lands where they are pressured a lot, and hunting different terrain with different types of hogs. Some bay easy, some don't bay at all in places!
Monkey
Monkey and two of his daughters. Full sisters to the dam of your pup
JJ. Your pups grandmother on the dam's side.
Chelsea. JJ's dam. You can see she is bred in this pic. Great Grandmother to your pup. This is my Spur dogs dam also.
Frannie. This would be the Great Great Ggrandmother to your pup. She is about 10-11 years old in this pic. Frannie was born in the early 1980's. She is a great aunt to my Dixie female also, as her littermate sister was Dixie's dam.
I have a few more generations of pics but not on the computer. That was before digital cameras and computers! Hopefully this will give you an idea on the dam's side, about your pup. Good luck with it!
