ok guys my garmin will turn on but it stays on the screen that says garmin it want show my maps or compass or anything idk what to do about it. help please

Mine did that once take the batteries out let it set for a while and put new ones in worked for me

put new batteries in it?? just clearing up it makes since i took them out but put the sme ones right back in
