Anybody that can tell me if they're worth the money? Also would like to know about any experiences with the knockoffs.

They're worth the money. The way they rate coolers is how long it takes for the last piece of ice to melt inside the cooler and Yetis hit 2 Weeks. They're to expensive for me but I'd love to have one. No experience with the knock-offs.

Worth the money is a debatable term. Grin Worth it to look cool or will it earn its money back.

They have posted several reviews on 2Cool of bunch of coolers and there are coolers that will do the same but cost less. At the end of the day if you are opening and closing it a lot... no amount of insulation can help that. The good thing about the Yeti is you can stand on them and all that stuff. They are pretty durable.

Im getting some of these for my boat in the near future. Called a Brute Box. I kind of like the name too. Grin

I get coolers for free that have soap sticks in them. They will hold a #20 for a little over two days in direct sun light 98% of the time and with me in and out of them all day. They will go a week if you don't open them. Cost around $20 if you buy them at a store.

hell i staand on my coleman all the time  . it holds things as long as i need it to  . but i don't buy ice for it . i will fill all my old garotaid bottles up with water and freeze them and that is what i use for ice . and as they melt i've allways got a cold drink of water . sometimes i fill em with tea or coolaid . it takes the bottles some good time to thaw out and you don't wind up with a cooler full of water  .

I have the 55 quart brute box. I have had it for over a yr, my buddy has a yeti. We got down to the honest part of it and we both finally agreed they are basically the same. YETI and Brute are the dam near the same exact design with different latches, and one has a foam gasket and the other has a rubber. Both are tough as hell. I gave $175 for my  55 quart brute and im thinking about buyin another one! Everyone one that sees in on my flat bed ask where i got it and has to look twice to see what it is. Make sure you get a bike chain with combo. on it or they will get stolen! The combo. chain has saved my brute from being stole 3 or 4 times in the last yr.

They're tough, but arent any better at keeping ice than a good coleman or igloo if you're using it as a drink cooler and in and out of it a lot

Locks are good but spray paint works real good. If you don't need it to be purdy then do some random painting on it. Nobody will steel it.

Mine is inbetween two trucks, on job site during the week and in the woods and roping pen on weekends. I have several colman extremes that work well too. The tx heat in mid aug, open and closing it all day long none of them are goin to hold and make ice last for 10 days or what ever bs you have heard before. There all good, and some are better in differnt cases. Its goin to be up to you in the end.

Yes they are good coolers.

Are they worth the money? To me they are.  I have 3 total

I would go through a "good" igloo around once a year.  The hinges, latch, strap, handles, lid, sidewalls on a coleman and igloo are junk.  They do not stand use.  Academy use to sell just the pieces of the coolers.  Now they sell a bundle pack.

If you buy a Yeti to save ice you are buying it for the wrong reason.

There are people doing knock offs now and even the big cooler companies are trying to compete with the Yeti brand.  My opinion is that Yeti has done well enough marketing their products that Brute and other companies will have a hard time competing.

Wife gave me a tundra35. I love it. I would not spend the money on one,but it was a great gift. I am thinking of buying a big brute. They will last longer then an igloo and are cheaper then yeti. I want one of those real big ones.

I have a 75 qt and love it, I put a 20# bag of ice and don't have to stop at the store for the next 2 days for ice.  Even after the ice melts the water will stay cold for most of the day.  I'm thinking of getting a 35 qt to carry around a lil easier, the 75 is nice but heavy for 1 guy if it's full of beer!
