Yeah Lauren, if that pup came from Rex it wont have any plott in it. Just good ole east texas cur......

X2. Them Womack boys have had brindle dogs for alot of years along with some good Yellers.
perty sure the daddy to that one tried to eat my leg off six or seven years ago when I was borrowing a cutting torch.

Lamar. This should be a pup off the old dog one of Rexs neighbor shot if I am not mistake.

Easiest way to find out Lauren is to give him ample opportunity and exposure like you would anything else.
All of Rexs old brindle dogs were workers and rough as cobbs. He used them almost always as cowdogs but I have been behind a couple in the lake bottoms years ago and they did real well over hogs too.

If memory serves he bought a high blooded brindle gyp from out of state that he used for an outcross some years back. She was supposed to be a goodun but got killed perty early.   Haha. Never inquired to heavy on their background cause I was usually to busy running for a tree or truck to get away from them mean jokers.   Grin

Ok. Here you go Lauren.  Lamar is right on with the bloodline.

Just talked to Rex and he said your male is a line bred pup off of his Rufus dog and a gyp out of Rufus.

They go back years ago to Joe Allen Hooks out of Kirbyville who was the county stockman over there.
There are a few more still around with other folks but most are dead due to them being rough.
The out of state gyp I remembered was another bloodline he had about fifteen years ago but lost them all.

Rex also requested me to let yall know if the lil male comes up for sale or relocate to give him a call due to he only has two gyps left out of his old brindle line.

Hope it helps and good luck with him.
