This dog is out of a line of Curs used on cows.  Dad and I actually got two of them that are brothers, so i took one and pops took the other.  The dogs are year old, but just big puppies.  They were both as green as they come, but this one was wild as a march hare when I got him a week ago because he had never been handeld, just kept in a pen.   He Would not let you catch him, would not lead, just plain wild.  But I have been working with him, and I got him leading, and he is getting better about letting me catch him.  We can walk down the street now and he does not let the cars, loud exaust, bikers, ect, bother him as much as they used to.  He's got a ways to go but has come a long way in just one week.  He should take a handle nicely, it will just take a little time

He's got leg like I like on a dog and should have the bottom to go with it.  He's marked up like his Sire and I hope he ends up working like him as well.  Probly gonna end up a pretty hard dog and have a good bit of hunt if he is anything like his daddy.  The dog he is out of which is as good a cow dog as you will find and a proven producer of cow dogs and hog dogs was one of the two dogs I was looking at for breeding my gyp.  I ended up going the other route but it does'nt look like she took anyway.  If this dog turns out like I hope I'm gonna cut him and hunt the hide off him, and breed my gyp to his daddy next time around.  Dad hunted his brother on friday with a couple of our expereinced dogs.  They bayed a good group up and it took him a few mins. but he joined right in with them.  I probly start this one in a week or two when he gets easier to catch.

Good luck with him Waylon.

He looks exactly like the dogs some of these old timers around here run.
