Everyone has a different style. The style that fits me is 2-4 bay dogs and 1-2 catch dogs.

We bring 6 or 7. But only run 3-4 at a time. Running to many dogs causes a lot of headaches

six bay dogs get to go two pits hunt two bay dogs at a time somtimes i will throw a pup in for they can get experience but they reason i take six bay dogs is because it seem like in my area i hunt we tend to run into hogs that have nikes an it always helps when u have a fresh dog to kick to them

If im by myself i bring 4 and 1 cd. I Usually pair up smoke(solid find/bay) and pretty girl(rcd prospect) and spoon(solid find/bay) with bonnie(good young bay dog) if either pair bays I turn the other out to em. Ive hunted many times with as few as 1 bay dog as well as many as 20+ bay dogs and 4-6cd's always rotating 3-5 at a time.

By myself it's one Cur dog and one bulldog, and maybe a young or new dog!

1-4  depending on the dogs.   I like bays not catches.   3 would be usually the perfect number.
