I was just wondering if anybody else watched the convention tonight and what your thoughts were on it. I myself enjoyed it . I must admit that this is the first political convention that I have watched. Call it inmaturity or whatever you want  but this is the first time in my life that I have really been interested in politics. I attribute this to the fact that I am now mature enough to be concerned about my own personal views and my childrens future. I am scared that my children who are 13 and 8 yrs. old will not have the same chances to suceed in life that I have. I watched it on NBC instead of FOX News so that I could get a look at it from both sides and I must admit that I thought they tried to be very biased but the Republican guest commentators that they had did a very good job of holding them off. I must admit that I was a little disapointed in Ann Romney but I thought that Rick Santorum and Chris Christy did a good job of stateing my views. There were also others that did a good job and I was impressed with them. I will say that I will also watch the Democrat National Convention just for the heck of it but it will not change my mind. Barack Obama is not the dream that I have for my children or for my country. Mitt Romney is not my first choice but he is the only choice for me at this time. I was just wondering what you all thought of the first night of the convention.

They are saying all the right things. Not sure what will happen when they are actually in but it has to be better than Obama. Some one that I didn't know that much about but liked his speach was Ted Cruz.
