What a slow moving storm. This thing has been sitting on top of us dumping rain since 5:30 pm Tues. It definitely overstayed its welcome.
We had 70 to 80 mph. wind , which could have been a lot worse, but the winds lasted about 18 hrs. The eye of the storm has been skirting
us for about 5 hrs. now. The eye is starting to move away from us now, so we got the bottom half of the storm to deal with now. Got bored and went took a ride to check on the heliport where I work and everything was flooded. I was worried about our kennels but we tied them down with ratchet straps and so far so good.

It's wet and going to get wetter.. They say this one has more rain than Katrina. And it's just creeping along. We r just now getting the wind and some upper rain bands. Glad I'm ready cause it's a freak show at walmart right now.

Yeah watcing the weather channel now talkin about GulfPort is getting flooded .  I wish yall the best .  Guess the phone lines are down cant get my long time buddy.  It was over a month after Katrina hit when I finally got a holt of him.  Me and my wife were down the five days before Katrina hit and it was the hottest thickest could not breath kinda heat I had ever seen .

It's kicking up pretty good over here in east Calcasieu right now. Got some pretty good winds, prob 50+ gusts. Still got power for now. Think this is gonna be about as bad as we get here. Ain't so sure about our camp up in Marksville though, gonna pass right over it.
Jug should be getting some pretty bad stuff about now.
