I was wondering if anybody used it on hogs at night i am asking this because of the heat all the hogs on my lease have gone nocturnal. I have recently got a AR-10 .308 with a 8x32x50 scope i was wondering if there was any system where i can put it in on my scope and not change the power of the scope.

The scopes i have learned about arent made to stand that much recoil.   Next, at night, even  with good stuff, 3x will really mess with your judgement of distance and  size of pigs you are looking at.   Ideally, for me, 2x or less would be great. Our scopes are 3x and i wish  they were less.

get you a pvs14 monocular, it has an attachment or can get it that slides wither behind or in front of your standard scope that will convert day to night with out messing with your zero. during my tours in iraq, i would take our spare set of goggles and shot pics and vids through the spare nvg set.

there are gen1&2 handhelds, but not sure if they are mountable to a rail system. have you looked on cheaper than dirt, midway usa, cableas or basspro to see what they have? them pvs14s are gen3 and you can hav a 2 for 1 scope and a 2 for 1 handheld

Generation 3 is definitely worth the money if you can justify payin that much.  Even with no moon,  it will get you out there farther than a spotlight. Sure is nice when you can seem a good ways off and walk within 50 yards and open up on em!

Night vision surely helps but put a supressor on the muzzle and then you have SILENT DEATH!

Yeah, a supressor is my next investment. Only thing about not having one is, when you start shooting, the have a better idea of where NOT to run.
