Up at 3:30 am and headed to the bush on another great hillbilly adventure. Got me thinking. Would y'all rather stay out late and hunt or get up early and go?

I like hunting early mornings I normally try to shut the hunt down around 10 or so during the summer to keep from having dog troubles

Same here, haven't hunted at night in 6 years.

Some people have to hunt at night because that is when the hogs are in the areas they have access to hunt.  Crops would be an example, lot of times, the hogs aren't there until the middle of the night.

Hogs are always on my place, just have to find them.

id rather hunt daytime in the winter after the deer hunters are gone. this time of year though they are getting all preped up to hunt and out there all the time. Night hunting this time of year just seems to bring less hassles from other hunters. Besides, its still pretty darn hot out durring the day.

I prefer to hunt in the daylight, but hunt some at night in the summer. I love it when it's cold because I can hunt all day.

Now I ain't talking daytime or night time. But I call it getting up early. In the summer I like to get some sleep early and get up about 10 or 11 P.M. depending on how far I have to drive so I can start hunting about midnight. Then hunt until the sun starts to warm things up. I like those cool nights when it is only 98 degrees. Then I go back to sleep when I am finished. I have learned my lesson about falling sleep at the wheel. As it cools I push it later into the night to start and hunt longer into the morning. I like it when I can start as the sun comes up. That way the pigs are tired and full from eating all night. Then hit them with full bellies as they go to bed down. Normally get them to bay up after shorter runs early morning.
