im probable going to regret this but im goin to sell Annie.
i had major knee surgury 5 weeks ago and im out for the rest of the year. Annie is 6 years old and i hate to see her layin on the chain till i get back on my feet. i have some good young dogs comin on that i want to focus on when i get back to hunting.
some of the big places i have to hunt on dried up earlier this year. and some other property has sold.

Annie  6-yr old plott(silent), long range dog, loose baying dog, rolls out as soon as the catch dogs hit the hog, loves people and kids, easy to handle, cow broke.( all the places i hunt on have cattle). she is 100% sound no health problems , good feet.

this dog hunts alot like a cur ,pretty close when not in hog sign im talking 300 to 400 yards. she is not the cast out type of plott.
but i have had her go over a mile if she smelled hogs, and then when you get there with the catch dogs you wont see her when you get in behind the catch dogs, she is already gone and she will be bayed however far it takes her to catch up with the other hogs.
this dog will stay hooked with a hog i use a garmin and she will put on over 20 miles on a all day hunt if your on these oklahoma hogs.
i really dont know how long she will stay i havent found out i usually get to her in a couple of hours tops

hunts well from horseback, 4 wheeler, and i dont think you want to walk and try keep up with this dog.

this is the dog i had in the forest earlier this year alot of you guys where there, i hunted with the horseback group, on the friday hunt she rolled out 3 or 4 times and showed us alot of hogs.

Faults:  i had her run a deer "one time" this year it jumped up right in front of her she went about 200 yards and came in. she dosent run deer at all i just want to be totaly honest.

she will snap at other dogs in the box after the hunt she is usually wore out and she curls up in front of the box and dosent want anybody jacking with her , not a fighter at all just maintaning her space.
so i keep a seperate compartment for her and she is no truoble . she works her butt of findin hogs so i figure she needs a little extra
attention

this dog is the real deal if you want to go hog hunting

make shure you talk to all the neighbors before you turn her loose  Wink     $1500  picked up her in wagoner, oklahoma
i dont like to sell dogs on a trial but its alot of money so ill give you 2 weeks if she comes back in the same condition she left in !!

I was really hoping to head to Ok, look real needy and talk Craig into sending me home with a 28x6'8" GN, loaded with Annie for me, a mule for Mandi, and some dutch oven cooking lessons. Grin

Craig,

You better be all healed up come fall when the cooler weather starts heading in. We need you and Gerald to make a road trip and we'll make a whole long weekend of hunting, riding, campfires, and cake.

Cheers!

Craig,
That little dog and my dogs worked real well together on the ETHD hunt.  If Chris and Mandi should happen to take a detour and leave her in La., she will be taken care of for sure.(hint, hint!)

I know what you mean about this cyber hunting.  We have been busy again with Haynesville wells and I am stuck riding a desk 10-12hrs a day.  I barely have time to feed what I got much less hunt them, however, I plan on changing that this weekend for sure!  I hope you get well soon.

Joey,

I was planning on picking up "Catch" while I was up there in yankeeland.

That's music to my ears in my line of work. I sure hate to see all the drilling outfits with yards full of equipment like I have been seeing lately.

Catch is presently on gaurd duty for an old neighbor who has been having trouble with her ex husband showing up late night.  In fact I am looking for a RCD so I can retire the old man.  As far as the haynesville play thing, it has finally settled down enough that we, me and my investors can compete.  I am on my way to sign 855 acres right now and we hope to be putting a bit in within 90 days.  The good thing about the equipment being stacked, for us, is the price of a rig goes down everyday.  I am actually using Baker Hughes for our drilling fluids.
