I am looking to purchase the Garmin Alpha 100 in the near future. I have a couple questions. 1. Is it compatible with the DC 40 collars? 2. Does it work better in thick brush/terrain than the regular Garmin? Thanks for the feedback.

No it is not compatible with dc 30 or 40

They are not compatible, the only difference is the shocking part of it...for the most part. I believe it's going to be touchscreen as well.
