Well, we had a friend call and say his grandparents' fields were getting hit hard, so we loaded up Fred, Pistol, Jane, PJ, and Mason. It was Blake, Jeff, our buddy, and me. Got to the spot, and dogs started hunting hard and fast and within 30 mins of walking around these fields dogs starting acting piggy. Fred and Pistol found and bayed a group up solid. We eased on in and sent Jane in first, and they busted before she got there. I cut PJ loose to send help, and them two and Pistol ran one down. We tied it up and Fred was hammering on another one. We started moving to him after getting the dogs a quick drink in a pond, and sent Jane and PJ in again. Caught hog! Our buddy got his first stick while hunting with dogs and was excited! First hog was a good sow around 180-200... And second hog was a young boar around 110ish... Both were whiteish with black spots. We were going to pole that bigger hog out, but realized how far we were away from the truck and decided to just break it down for meat. Lol! I ended up loosing my Garmin in all the commotion and had to go back track my steps to find it were I had tied my dog up after the catch. Heart stopper right there! All in all it was another great hunt, didn't get hurt lol, 2 more hogs this weekend, and PJ was on all of em; even my Mason pup got to be on some swine in the woods for the first time. Jane, Fred, and Pistol did their jobs again for sure as well. I know I'm loving this cooler weather already!

There was quite a bit of "flats" lol , but we were just walking the edges. Nothing is flat when its been tilled or has been planted... Sucks walking on that stuff, but I think the spot we were on was 500-600 acres. The dogs were hunting the woods by the fields hard and fast when they found that group. We would have let them keep rolling out on the group, but the hogs where headed to where we didn't need be so we leashed the dogs up and called it a day. We dropped the dogs around 615 and were done and headed to the truck by 8. Really nice short hunt. And no lol , Baus is going to go next time... I'm gona let PJ and Mason get a little ansy on the yard and take Kato and Baus next weekend. He just was in time out... Lol! I think he will do fine... Since I messed up I have to chalk that one up to being my fault. If he even makes me feel uncomfortable at all in the woods from here on out he will do what he has done best or 5 years before I started hunting him and that be a guard dog and a great pet... Lol! I just couldn't be happier with my big white dog right now though buddy. She is doing everything she is supposed to; has her head about her every time before and after the catch. She pays good attention to me so I'm taking advantage and working with her as much as I can. I just have to be patient cause I don't want her getting wrecked and messing up what she has going for her.

Thanks Tex! And Zig is living the good life! Lol! Bayin' up bugs and his shadow... Lol! He is always ready to go, and we've taken him recently just didn't get anything that day. But it's a lot easier putting that dog on the ground when it's not 105 out. Zig doesn't stop when he is hunting... He will go soon with us... Fred and Pistol also just hunt really well together.

For the most part... And thanks. She is still a puppy though, so I am trying to work with her a lot on those types things now so hopefully as she matures it won't be that big of a deal. She is figuring it out I think pretty well though. I can definitely say that she is a different type of dog and is going to take some time. She is sensitive. Lol!

We can't Barr them around here cause land owners want them dead. I just was able to pick up a piece of land to release hogs on yesterday so we are about to start...
