so...im less than a year old in this hobby, i got started with my first hunt being the TDHA tournament in hallitsville, tx.
after this i got my first dog a cat/pit. started him out with hopes of help from those who got me hooked. i shortlyafter bought a bloodhound/bmc gyp. i had no idea what i was doing but still had little hlp from ppl that were realy busy themselfs...not blaming them at all. i then decided to start my own wooded bay pen and studyd all i could online on training hog dogs and i wanted to help ppl that had little help or a small pen in there back yard so i built this pen on my 10 acres with plans to open it free to public...well once i got the pen up i soon expanded it to about 3-4 acre pen. after i completed it i lost my job and have now moved to jacksonville...during that time i have purchased 2 more dogs. i know have a good start crew that needs to be in the woods. iv posted on here for places to hunt with little response. thank you to those who have invited me to future hunts. i dont have much faith in relien on others cuz iv been let down in the past. all my dogs are about a year in age. iv ask ppl around my naghborhood to run on there property and havent had much luck. here to find some advise on how to find ppl in the jacksonville, tx area that have land i can run on and learn once again on my own what my dogs need. im also open to invites to hunt with ppl and always looking to meet new ppl in this sport. idk that ill get much replies but sure hope to. just dont know what to do to stay in this hobby that im hooked on but fill like im geting know were. any advise from the fellow hunters out there?

Man sorry to hear all that when you go ask about places to hunt tell the people they are welcome to tag along that you don't want any money you just want to have fun helping them get rid of a problem normally works for me

i feel for you outlaw i had to move from my stompin grounds , and after all my trying i'll be driving back and forth to waxahachie this winter to hunt . got hogs rite out the back door here and sit and watch em all the time  lol but they got some crazy land owners out here . but in their defense they have been overrun by the outlaw element and are scared to death of people with dogs running uhmuck across their land , good luck in your search for some huntin partners and keep at it .

I found it easier to offer to drag hogs than work dogs. Gp dragging other people's hogs out for them. Then maybe they will let you bring your dogs. You gotta remember people have been burned by people they helped. Also they have to be sure your dogs won't trash and get them kicked off their places. But some people have places they own and family friends' places they may let you tag along. But if you are counting on someone to carry you along and train your dogs that is just not likely to happen. Get out there and drag some hogs and people will help.

Yeah buddy! X1000000000

That ain't no chit right there! You gotta want it bad to be in this WAY OF LIFE for an extended period of time. To own dogs, hunt them hard, find land, and make everything run smoothly is not an easy task... much less think its something that's going to just be thrown together. It all takes time and patients. Good luck out there!

My advice is to have the land to hunt before you get dogs, I don't mean that in a rude way, that is just the #1 piece of advice I tell anybody looking to start.

X2 land is harder to find than dogs.

its not hard to get land to hunt, its harder to keep it and not loose it for some beer can or a gate left open , its all ways the little thing that will get you,
