depth or length for dog box?

would 30 inches be a good depth (length) for a dog box or shoul i go up to 36 inches

well if you want a good one get your dog to lay down flat out and put you a tape measure to um . my box is 4x4 or 2x4 for each compartment . plenty of room for two dogs on each side to be comforatable .
