Went out for a quick hunt with the wife last saturday. We went to a water hole that has a lot of sign. I dropped the dogs about 200 yards from the waterhole waiting for the dogs to open up with no luck so we loaded the dogs and moved on. I had Thor and Goose on the rigging platform and as we were driving down the 2 track road the dogs started acting hoggy. They bailed off the platform and went out about two hundred yards and split up, nose down tracking away from each other then they both locked in on the scent and circled back right towards each other and the hogs started rallying. I dropped the rest of my dogs and grabbed Rhino my catch dog and headed to the bay. I cut Rhino loose and like a torpedo he was locked in and gone. As he hit I figured the hogs would break but they acted like they never seen dogs before, they were standing their ground. It wasn't until my wife and I got about ten yards from the bay when the other hogs broke. They were all big hogs about six total, the dogs were locked on to one so I legged her and the wife went in to handle business. As we were taking care of the sow I heard the dogs baying again and looked over and seen Bear and Red baying a big nasty boar with an attitude one hundred yards away. I broke Rhino off the sow and led him to the bay. I cut him loose again and he ran right past the boar twenty yards  and hit the brakes, locked on and hammered down right towards the boar nailing him catching on the ear. Red and Bear joined in and I legged the boar and the wife went in to handle some more business. It was a great quick hunt, the wife made a heck of a hand and the dogs did great with a few scratches. Here are a few pics, enjoy!
