Well it has been in the making since he could walk but my three yr old got his first stick ! He has been mimicking my every move since he could walk out to the kennels. For the last yr he has been asking to go doggin with me but I felt I needed to wait until he was mature enough to understand. The other day I went hunting and he woke up went to the window to find me and my rig gone, and cryed till I got home hours later mom said. When I returned home he let me have it. " I went hunting without him again " so the next morning I awake to find him curled up at the door with his dog lead and headlamp. I had planned to meet some freinds at the farm and shoot some dove and work some pups in the pen. I scooped him up and put him in the truck, grabbed my shotgun loaded some dogs and headed out. He woke up on the way so he got some mc Donalds after the delays I was running late and all my buddies were already out shooting birds. Well Jacobi insisted we go doggin so I vested two catchdogs and grabbed my jagd Lulu which has not hunted since her litter and Leroy. I wanted to check a place down the road that I have not been to in a while. As soon as we unload the Wheeler  and get started I see pig sign. I cut Lulu and Leroy out and right away lulu barks a few times then I here a sqeal. Look at the garmin and she is 550 stopped we jump on the wheeler and haul butt that way I get to the edge of a hay feild and see my Leroy dog caught on a schoat. We ride up to him and I grab it from him and look at garmin for Lulu, she showed stopped at 250 at the other side of hay field. I herd some sqealing so we haul butt to her and jump off to find her caught on another schoat. I decided this was the time ! I told my father to leg it. He looked at me confuse, lol. I said to Jacobi are you gonna stick him ? His eyes lit up and said YEA. I pulled my knife and showed him where to put it he pushed it in but pulled it out before I could snap a pic, but oh well. I was proud.

I kick the dogs back out on the trail she they follow it out  600 plus yards and I hear some sqealing again ! I thinkin damn another schoat. We start riding that way and see a coyote crossing the hay feild with a schoat in his mouth. WTH ! I run it down with wheeler and he drops it and runs. Pow # 3. Lol. The dogs are now half a mile away so I go cut them off at the county road. Was a quick fun hunt. It will be a while before I let him stick another but I can't wait. This one was just perfect, grandpa holding it for him (who is the only one I trust with my pride and joy)  with a twenty pound catch dog out in the open.
