Well I decided to go out on my first daytime hunt of the season this morning, so I went to a normal spot and got to it about 9AM. We struck a group of hogs, about 4 good sized hogs charged me from the brush. I went to get my bulldog out to lead him in and the damn dog got away from me out of the box and headed in. Had hogs grunting dogs barking and hogs squealing all around. Of all the hogs in this group my #1 dog catches a little piglet my bulldog takes of chasing a group that split in all directions...go figure. We to make things worse after I take the piget from my #1 he heads back out to 3/4 a mile and holds there, I am thinking great got another one. So I load the bulldog and piglet back up and start heading to him and lose communication to his collar. I start thinking no big deal he went into the creek and will pick backup in a second. I continue to move toward him and he is holding on my garmin in the same spot, so I am thinking yep he has one bayed up in the creek. I turn off my wheeler, but hear no barking, so I head up closer and still no signal. I get about 50 yards away and listen, nothing, so I call him, nothing. I walk into the spot thinking he got into it with a big nasty boar and the poor dog is laying dead in the creek, nope not a spot of blood, no tracks nothing. So I search for him for 2 hours, covering all of the property calling and calling and still no dog. There were no gunshots, no other vehicle tracks, his collar was fully charged when I left and he has always come to my voice, my fourwheeler, or the sound of my truck and nothing. The garmin was acting just like when you shut off a collar, it shows the last place it was on, it makes me suspect fowl play a bit. He was last seen south of Honey Grove, in Fannin County, Texas on Seth Mahler's property, he was wearing a DC-40 over the top of a brand new Hardcore Hog Dogs cut collar that was Bright Orange and Black. If anyone has seen the below dog, please let me know. Dhumphrey@daisyfarms.com or please call or text 3192090884. In light of this hunt I have also made this post if anyone could help. http://www.easttexashogdoggers.com/forum/index.php?topic=58701.0 Thanks Denton CB

Nope, while searching for him for two hours I walked the entire creek where we hunted, it only gets about knee deep with a solid lime stone or shale bottom.

Make sure and go back and look for him. I had the same thing happen the other day with one of my dogs. Finially found him over two miles away. Not sure what happened to my collar but it just quit picking up. I turned it off and back on and it seems to be working fine again. Hope you find him.

Did you leave a piece of your clothing out there? If you left something out there then if he comes back around he will stay there

Just got back from checking in again, still no sign. I took off the shirt I had on when I realized he was missing and put it close to where I lost signal at along with the piglet he caught earlier. I will keep checking, got messages out around the town I was hunting near with pictures, he is to good of a dog for me to give up on. The hard part is he has never just run off.

I have seen the garmin do that before. We turned the gps off and back on and it picked the dog up again way away from the area before it was turned off. Might be worth a shot. Hope you find him

We had a catchdog go missing for a whole week and then he showed back up near where he was lost. Don't give up. Do you think that there where any bow hunters in the area? We have had dogs chase a pig up to 6 miles. Doesn't happen often but it does happen. I sure hope that you get him back safe and sound.

Still hoping he turns up. I don't care about the cut collar or tracking collar, I just want my dog back, willing to pay a reward for his return. Please contact me if you have seen or know where I can find CB. 3192090894 or dhumphrey@daisyfarms.com
