Yesterday was a looong day. Left Tamworth 6am and arrived at Badens at 10.00pm. Its about 1200km but I had a bit of an issue with a trailer bearing getting hot and a fuel filter blockage, so that slowed me down. Thank heavens for V drinks and chicekn twisties. Still arrived ok and then got some big boars.  So I arrived at 10.00pm and Baden, who had waited up was keen for a quick look on the crop. We got 2 boars about 80-85 kg (dressed) and one smaller about 40kg. Connie and Rose were the stars it is incredible how natural they are after only a few hunts. They will take a bit more finishing though but they only have about 10-12 hunts combined. Connie and Rose bailed the pigs and then we released Badens catchdogs. They bay close and the big boars have nowhere to go. They did have an absolute monster well over a 100kg bailed and we let the luggers go, who caught a 80kg fella almost beside Connie and Rose. Thinking they were missing out they went to the caught pig. They got themselves going again, which they do so naturally and caught another 40kg fella. Interesting that we saw 5-6 other pigs which were all boars, not one sow in them. Never seen that before in over 20 years of pighunting. Photos to follow. Stay tuned the next few days. Troy
