Just wanted to see if anyone on here has ever heard about a guy named Bob Maxwel that sells Garmin tracking systems? The company is said to be located in the UK and I have a feeling that he just scammed me out of alot of money.

There's a group out of China that is probably a scam also. They have systems and collars alot cheaper than you can get them in the USA but they will not accept credit card payment. They want you to send them a money order or certified check from your bank for payment. I thought it was strange that they would not take a credit card so I did'nt buy.

Garmin is one of those companies that price their products and leave very little room for the individual retailers to lower the prices. You may find one that offers free shipping or a few dollars lower on a combo than others but for the most part they are all within a few dollars
of each other. They are tons of reputable dealers here in the U.S. If you think you've been scammed, call Garmin and see if the guy is a Garmin dealer. That would be a good place to start. Have you tried contacting the fella in the UK?

My question, I know saving an extra $ is always important but the UK? I prefer to buy my stuff in the U.S.A when I can and at least put our money back into our debt. Lol

when you set up a distibutorship with a company to sell their product there are rules that apply . to protect the other distibutors you are only allowed a very few deviations from the manft. suggested retail price most of no more than a 10% discount . the old rule that has been around for HUNDREDS OF YEARS  if it sounds too good to be true , IT IS . sorry for your troubles but if you ordered for a deep discount , you have been scammed .

If the seller only accepts cashiers check or  western union, watch out its probably a scam, also from the UK is a tell tell sign
