I wouldnt want a dog to break his own bay to honor another bay to me the dog would be a cull then. I have put a young dog tog in same pen and hunt them tog seemed to work some what. But if a dog wants to be independent why would you want it any different

MOST DOGS WILL LEARN TO HONOR A BAY, BUT IVE SEEN A FEW THAT NEVER WOULD, I DIDNT SEE THEM LONG. IVE PUT A DOG IN A BAY PEN AND TIE THE OTHER DOG OUTSIDE THE PEN AND LET HIM YANK THE CHAIN GOING CRAZY FOR A LONG TIME, THEN LET HIM IN THE PEN WITH THE OTHER DOG. YOU CAN ALSO KENNEL DOGS TOGETHER TO GET THEM TO HUNT WITH EACH OTHER. I DONT CATCH A LOT OF HOGS WITH A WHOLE PACK OF INDEPENDANT DOGS THAT WONT HONOR ONE ANOTHER.

I agree...I like an independent hunting dog but he must honor a bay or a strike unless he struck his own simultaneously...

Training dogs is not about quantity, it's more about timing, the right situations, and proper guidance...After that it's up to the dog... A hunting dog is born not made...

If he has his own hog bayed I prefer that dog to stick with that hog...a good dog sticks with his bayed hog but will honor the other dogs when hunting...

Try let them live togther etc then cut them loose at the same time tog in the woods may do the trick. We do this with our young dogs based on how they range we pair them with a dog that ranges the same

Well the thought of getting a jagd ran through my mind and id hate for the jagd not wanting to leave its hog and be there thrying to catch by itself while all the other dogs are stuck at another bay. Irks it might of not been a good? I was just wondering
