Who has working alapaha bulldogs??  I wouldn't mind owning one, but the price tags I've seen on some is ridiculous!!
2-3K for an untested dog or pup??? Crazy. If anyone has any, I'd love to talk to you and see what you got.

They sell for $1000-2500 papered but like i said I will be breeding the pups that prove out to my alapaha so he should be a happy alapaha lol. I'm going to try and put them in some good working homes were they can do what they do best and that's work. Most people don't realize how smart and how well these dogs work because they are so expensive but i hope to get some out to some guys that hog dog as much as I do so more guys will know how a true alapaha from working stock performs

alapaha blue blood, educate me a little on those dogs if you will. I know nothing about what they are, but they look like a catahoula bulldog bred off the Johnson sort of bulldogs. No offense intended, just trying to learn.

It's supposed to be made of old southern x ab x with some cat no Johnson they say Scott a lot of guys on the west coast have them looking real bully but they r mostly abba dogs I know my alapaha got loose from me lead and all and went and caught a hog at 0.53, he found it himself and after we killed that hog I loaded him up and he had gas to go to the next bay.I've only owned one alapaha Scott but like I said he's the best ive hunted behind i talked to some guys in Europe that run em and they say they are great dogs to, they want me to ship semen from my alapaha over there them guys are all about working dogs over there. Hey Scott I recognize your profile pic from true-grit are you the same guy. I proved out those abs for ewk in Arizona. It's impossible to go off one dog but with the 3 other alapahas that are being sent to me we will be able to know a lil more about em but you know they were breed for working right cow catching, hogs, and slave guarding .

Every alapaha breeder I've talked to just strictly uses for personal protection and guard dogs and things of that sort.

Yessir, that's me. Sounds like your Alapaha suits you.

Chris (EWK) is a good guy, really interested doing right by the dogs.

As far as the historical uses for the AB (OSW,WEB, or whatever someone is calling them) or Alapaha...I don't put much stock in those created (for lack of a better term) histories. I think a good bit of it was made up just to peddle pups. Just my opinion, but I believe they were probably just farm dogs that served a variety of purposes depending on the owner.

Anyhow, I wish you success with your future breeding program Wink

Yes, Chris and Jane are great people with some really nice hybrids they all are good working dogs that strive to please, and as far as the history goes the breed was started way back and just like In AB'S some people put a lil of this and that to get the genetic make up and build and looks they are striving for I can say from what I've read they were farm dogs that had to perform on a daily basis for there owners to do whatever task that was needed anyways thanks Scott and rockin roo

Hey drew you got pick of that alapha.  Would love to see em if you do.  Mike is that the blue merle you were talking about in cali.  That's pete's bulldog stock?  If so, Pete's a cool dude.
