Back home after a 2500km drive to drop off BMC pups at my cousins.  Caught some nice boars.  We got these 3 one night in the wheat stubble one after the other...some other photos as well.  Troy

Did they huntem down, bay, and roll out each time or did y'all scoopem up and put em in new sign each time?

Have you Been letting them hunt on the ground or riggin them into hogs and cutting em loose?

No matter what the style, congrats! They seem to be doing real good and

Yes they did some of that.  They are baying and rolling out as well as any dogs I have seen.  But the three boars in the photo committed suicide.  They stood still in the crop until we drove up on them.  Easy meat really.  Seems like they had never been hunted before.

Mainly rigging off truck and atv (we say ute-finding) distances are too long and country really too open for walking up there (too hot as well).

Thanks

Cool deal man, I'm really quite glad for you guys. I haven't seen too terribly many of the dogs from that one strain that will roll out and get to the next one (as instinct) but in their defense, I'd say most hog dogs of all varieties don't have immediate roll out in their genes either.

If I remember correctly, I went to the mans house to pick up a dog and saw a group if pups and saw somethin a lil different about them and asked about one of them instead and was told they were headed for australia. I ain't got a clue what cross they came from, but I'm glad y'all have some fine yellow dogs doing you a good job over yonder way. Congrats!

Y'all ain't gonna cross em up Aussie style with no boxers, terriers or hounds are you?  Wink

Just picking on you bud, take care
