Ive seen them a few times and like the way they are put together but I have not seen any for sale anywhere or anything like that. The dogs I'm referring to are usually a more reddish color stocky built dogs that have a good blocky head. Usually have a black muzzle and the ones I have seen usually have a few scars and most of the time are just reffered to as just a old cur dog and not much else has been said like its kinda secret or something. Anyone know what I'm talking about I'd like to try and find one or see some photos of these dogs and at least a direction to start looking for them.
Thanks in advance Brandon

Iv got a red bmc that is outa howard carnathans stock. She is 4 n weighs close to 50# for her normal weight. She dont hav a milk jug head but most of her male pups hav the milk jug head. Rockin roo on here has some stocky built jug headed dogs. Do a search for him on here n there was a thread a while back n he posted pics of his dogs. From what your describing, his dogs fit your description, but i think he said his was outa bill tolson's dogs.

Ive had a couple yellers built like that was just told they r old cattle stock. Big built block head dogs im sure the blockhead came from a lil bulldog input but both i had barked on track and were pretty much just catch dogs.

Those are the ones that rockin roo had posted, where is Bill Tolsen located anyone know of anyone else breeding them?
Do you have any pics of your buddies dogs that are about to have pups and do you know where they came from? I tried to pm you but it didn't work.
I don't mind if they are real rough I need some that are gonna sure enough stop some hogs and from what I have seen of this type dogs they usually produce pork. The barking on track I don't really care for. I have those three jagds I talked to you about I'm gonna see how they work on the new place I have its loaded with hogs my curs have been having a time and my lead gyp is still out on injury

Most of the gyps do not have a big blocky head. I will ask around. The Old Man that bred Her got out of the hog dog business.  P.m. YellowBlackMask he may have some.

Most folks are perty Clanish with their bmc in the briars round here. Nothing personal to anyone else but they usually are given away to friends or family. Cuts down on alot of the drama that comes with the business end of it.

Here is a typical example of how they usually come. Yeller or reddish moslty.

Strikedogkennel, Bayedhardhogdogs, Ironhead21, or North Cedar Creek Ranch might have something similar I supect.  Wink

Also try 7mhunter and ask her if her dad has pups on the ground with traveling credentials.
Here is a couple he had for sale awhile back that was out of some thicket dogs and the looks to go with em.

Good luck.

All the old "East Texas Curs" I've seen referred to were brindle... and some black and tans.
