Custom Vest Maker

I am interested in having two custom vests made and would like some referrals. 

I know what I want thickness / style wise and I want it in a specific color, we have been Southern Cross advocates for years but their newer vests are not to my liking and the original owner doesn't want to make the 'old' style.

I asked Hog Wire if they wanted to do it and they said they do not do custom work any more nor did they know their next production run so they are out.

I am looking to have a thick made strike vest as well as your typical catch vest as well....so who do you prefer and why?

Larry Paris at P&P makes the best vest I've seen and makes them exactly like you want.  Plus repairs them for free if it's ever needed.

P&P everyone I hunt with uses then I use them... They are tough! And not that expensive..

Both Mr. and Mrs. Larry Parrish are a pleasure to deal with , go 10-11 ply on your catch vest with at least a 6-8 inch bib Monty Bennett recommended that to me  . On you bay vest/strike vest go with 4-6 ply my 6 ply vest  has not been cut through yet .As far as cut collars thats up to you whether you want them sewn in or not. Im gonna be getting a couple more vest made here shortly there vest are Extremely well made. I like show n go. Joey willams he has always treated me well have several of his vests. He is like larry parrish and makes his vests not sent off.  Can't find his number at the present will try and look in my truck

P&P is making me a custom running vest right now and it is taking a few weeks longer because he has to make another pattern to fit my dog...he usually has a pattern that will fit most dogs on hand...one of my hunting partners bought a vest from another vest maker and it was not in good shape after the first hunt...I am glad he told me about it before I bought one...

Thanks everyone, I am going to give P&P a call next week.  I have a pretty good idea of what I want,just have to drag out the measuring tape lol.

I am not in a super big hurry but our old vests that I am fond of are up there in age and since the other maker switched materials I am not a fan, he offered to warranty them but to me it isn't worth the hassle.

I am wanting the below vest just a squinch longer and the same thickness, the material holds water which helps keep our dogs cool as they know to go to the ditch to wet it but we have never had a swimming problem out of the strike vest.

  

And as a side note, the vest above looks like he!! but doesn't have a hole one in it which is why I like them as much as I do just the length is too short IMO.
