This is a handmade elk horn handle file knife, I usually carry an anza file knife but switched to this one over the weekend.

That thing is sweet. Where'd you get it! They have some very similar at a saddle shop in San Antonio I've been drooling over.

Yeah it's a STIC knife a guy makes them up north somewhere.

For the money these little anza knives are good knives, I got mine off of ebay for 40 shipped to my door.

Yeah I got it on TBH, I got lucky and a guy was wanting to trade a stic for a rangefinder, so I traded him. I never could be fast enough to buy one. They are nice knives.

Holds an edge really well, I cleaned a deer with it and cut up some deer meat and it will still shave the hair off my arm.

Knife was made by a friend of mine Marty Harris from Gatesville and I believe he had the sheath made by a man from Valley Mills. Marty makes a lot of good knives and was selling a lot to Big Bend. Anyways since I've had this knife he sent it back to the leather worker and he braided a snap into it and put on sheath as well. Marty and I hunt together so that's where the trial and error came from. Knife handle is giraffe bone.
