Put the dog on crushed granite or crushed concrete.
Hunt the dog as often as possible

there are several products to help you out . tuf-foot is one and mushers cream . i haven't used the mushers cream but have yoused the tuf-foot . don't know where they sell it off the shelf but i know you can get it on-line somwhars .

I put turpentine and pine tar mixed together. It has worked well for me. Buy both from tsc and put in a little bigger container mixed and dip their pads in it when you think about it.
