ive always started out with bacon. you can use just about anything just to teach em to put there noses to the ground. then once they start tracking well just save blood. i always use ketcup bottles (be sure to label them) lol

that was that jack russells 1st actual deer

forgot to add after saving the blood just make up some mock hunts with em. i would always leave some meat at the end so they could have a little treat

Man i've been whooped! one more day after today and I have a whole week to kick back and relax!!! after next week i'll be back to 4 or 5 10's and the hunting can resume!..................I woke up at 6:00 this morning ......was supposed to be at work at 6:00 lol, called my site supervisor and said man I don't know what happened but I overslept......his response " well im sure it has nothing to do with the fact that you've been workin close to 100 hours a week since mid july" lol.  Grin

Peach creek now what Happend to you sayin that they were some of the best yella fogs you've seen haha n no got a mix breed I wanna for it a couple buddy's n my self have lost a couple deer this year I have only ben bow huntin n I shot a decent buck n gave him bout 40 minutes but jumped him up n never seen him agin but plenty of blood but I guess I'm gonna have to get them high yellas to put it on them ole mix breeds when I get back or some of them spotted dogs haha
