wormy dog, those are some kick a.. home made collars. i have been fooling around with making my own for a while, and have some good ideas after looking at yours. i run leather collars from rock's in brazoria. i like em. i also have a few ugly dog collars i run on smaller dogs. my buddy has some leather ones he made out of a weight belt. i thought there was one of his on my 4 weeler but i guess he took it home. here is a pic of rocky's

There is an outfit in australia that makes firehose collars and vests, but can't remember the name off the top of my head.

uglydog collar on this dog, uglydog defender on the other one.  Had I known that the flexible collar was as tough as it is both baydogs would be wearing them.



white dog has a devastator vest and defender collar from uglydog ranch.  red dog has gaurdian kevlar.

here you go wormy dog. i talked a truck driver out of a strap, and used some leather i had for straps. this is what i came up with. i don't like the wide straps, but i got like 30 foot of that stuff. so there is plenty to play around with till i figure out somthing i like.

I run hoot gibson cut collars on all bay/strike dogs, and a Mr. Kelley collar on my CD, and a hoot vest on my CD and it has taken a beatin, I have aquired an uglydog vest and love it, my BD does too.. Everyone I know runs uglydog and they perform excellent, when I need more I'll use them most likely, no guess work or trial and error, I've seen them in action!!!!! Gotta get a pink one for mama anyway!!!!

ok y'all I found a web site of a company in the down under that makes cut collars out of fire hose.  They also make a breast plate almost  the same as L3 outdoors new one but anyways my question now.  These fire hose collars that are more money or ugly dog?  What y'all think. www.pigdogsupplies.com they look perrty tuff but I never dealt with fire hose I hear it's  tuff stuff

if it helps the fire hose is rubber backed so maybe pretty stiff depending on how thick the rubber

has anyone tryed Razorback outfitters cut collar with the chin flap or their gel vest?

Also...when you go to Ugly dog ranch then to the store...on the main page right there, there is a picture of a brindle dog and a pig...does that dog have on one of them Texas boar bib's just orange instead of blue?

I run all ugly dog collars and have no complaints.  But I'm about to try the cazadores cut collar with the extra tracking collar buckles, think those will come in handy.

ive been running cazadores cut collars and have ran their cut vest too...

the collars are made well, but i wouldn't buy their catch vest. their level 2 catch vest has been a decent vest, but has been cut through several times since ive had it. ugly dog has the best CD vests on the market.

hoot gibson has some great cut collars...good price and great material....little heavy though, but they will never get cut through and will last a long time.

i love his collars, they will never get cut through, but are a little heavy. very good price too.

i quit runnin' flex collars because they flex too much. if you have a 4" collar, sometimes you get 3" on the bottom or top depending on where it flexes. they are very light though and allow a dog to move better, but ive had a few dogs get cut under the collar where they wouldn't have if it would have been a stiff 4" all the way around.

Never really ran one before but I am leaning towards the cazas dored cut gear. They have the only cut collar I have seen I can get the garmin tracking collar on.

collars are good and i still run some, but their cut vest will get cut through...or their level 2 catch vest has for me several times.

this dog had their level 2 catch vest on...if you look closely, he was cut through the vest on the neck area twice on each side. i think that vest is 4 layers.

The one Cazador vest I have was very easly cut through. My uglydog vest have been through twice as much and still no punctures.
