Some of the Corp of Engineer lakes allow dogging but not all. Check their website and make phone calls to be sure.

Some hold decent populations but are dogged pretty excessively.

look at some type 1 lands .. they allow dogs to hunt anything.. u arent required to wear orrange or anything like type 2 lands .. only thin is that u cant take fourwheeler.. only horse or walk. u might get lucky like me and run into a cool  warden over the place and lets ya use fourwheeler and basically hunt it like its yours .  Grin

Come see me buddy!  Wright Patman Lake Corps of Engineers.  Will put you and the wife up for a couple of days.  Don't bring anything you really like.  The hogs drown them regularly if they are vested.  Water every quarter mile.  There are some bruins in there.

I've hunted Type 2 on White oak the past 2 years.  Two years ago the hunting was good but last year there were way more people and dogs then there were hogs.

Well the best way to ruin a good public spot is to tell everyone where it is!!!!!!!!!

Considering you can only run dogs for like 15 days out of the year I don't think you could ruin it they will be repopulated by next year

Lol...that's only select spots...lots of public land that only shuts down dogging during deer season.

Running dogs for 2 weeks isn't the only time or way you can kill hogs...

I've hunted that place since I was big enough to go, and the hogs, squirrels, EVERYTHING is not near what they used to be...  I don't think it's all from being overhunted, the numbers just dropped especially after the drought...
