I was digging through some old photo albums the other night for some pics of some old dogs I had. In doing so I found a couple old pics of me and some hogs taken years ago. Now I am about to tell on myself, as far as age, but thought it would be neat if some of the old timers on here would post some pics of themselves from their early days of hog hunting. I have lots more pics, but I don't have a scanner and am taking pics with my phone of the old Polaroid pictures....my how technology has changed!!! So if the pics aren't real good quality, you will know why. Anyway, first pic is of me dated September 26, 1981. I have older pics, just have to find them! I wonder how many guys here on the board weren't but a gleam in their daddy's eye in 1981??? Second pic is dated October 1991, so ten years later. This was a REAL good boar hog that I bayed up where I was running some cows on a lease place. I shot him as he had cut my two dogs up pretty good and I didn't own a catch dog back then. My cur dogs would catch about anything I cared to put my hands on.....and I was young and wild back then! And if you look, I was thinner and had more hair!!! I am like my old dogs. I have slowed down some (okay....a LOT), but still like to go. I just don't care for hunting in the hot weather and I am not as keen on legging one of those bad boar hogs as I used to be...... and even less keen on turning one loose! I don't run as fast as I used to and its tough for us older fat guys to climb trees like we used to......man that was hard to admit!

Forgot to post the pic of the teeth the big boar hog above was toting. Look at them and you can see how he cut my two rough cur dogs up! That kind will make them bay or send them to doggy heaven pretty quick......

Noah here are a couple old pics you will like. This was a ranch I used to hunt back in the 1980's . It's not even there anymore but I took some pics of the old cow pens with dipping vat. Another part of Florida history gone....... My mare and mule resting up before a hunt.... My mule Charlie.....I know.......a mule? LOL But I did trash in my younger days....so I needed a mule to hunt off of....coon hunt that is...

Great Pictures! I always wanted a mule and a grey one...well, I would be head over heels There is an old dipping vat in Clewiston that was never filled in....every now and then a hog will bay up in it and it is always full nasty of water.

We still got a dipping vat on our farm here in Louisiana, it hasn't been used since the 80's though.

I didn't take many pics in the 80's and 90's but this is one of a few that got took because he was bayed behind my mom and dads house. He had been sneaking in trying to visit a couple sows that were in a pen. Catch dog was out of commision at the time so had to shoot this one.......
