That saw blade on top is why I would not use it. It will just make a mess. I like smooth edges. Get in and hit the heart but does not make a mess of things.

where is it made? i was thinkn bout getn a battle ax from either gerber, camilas or kershaw ( i forgot honestly) and knew the knives were american made, but looked at the box for the ax and saw it was made in china. it stayed on the shelf. as for the bubba knife, it looks good, but im with mr whitten and dub bout a smooth back for ease of pull out. it would be a good knife for a politician though.

i used to use an eye brand with a 4" blade and it would hold an edge through several deer, but only 1 hog after cutting through the hair.

I use an old timer with a 5.5" blade. Not sure what the number is. Got a real sharp point goes in easy. I saw the bubba knife commercial the other day. The one they showed didn't have a good point but it looked sharp filleting tuna. Lol

Thanks for the input everyone. I prefer a blade with smooth edges on both sides as well but figured I'd see if anyone has ever tried the bubba blade. I probably won't use it on hogs. I've always liked knives and tend to buy a lot of them but most of them never get used. I call my self a collector, but my wife calls me a hoarder when it comes to knives.

At least knives don't take that much room. Tell her you will stop collecting knives and start collecting cars if that would be better I bet knives look real good after that.
