Well we had an ok hunt this morning, we were on a HUGE boar but he ran the dogs past a sow with piglets and they chased her instead. The dogs split up 3 ways and we ended up only catching one small piglet.
When I got there my 1 year old dogo had the piglet in his mouth and you could only see his head and hind legs sticking out of his mouth.

This dogo has been on about 10 good size hogs so far and has been catching great. I have to use a break stick and its impossible to just pull him off a hog.

Well today I grabbed his collar and and just sort of slipped the piglet out of his mouth!

The piglet was not hurt and the dog had just been holding him!!!

Even after I took it away he didnt fight to get it back........normally I have to drag him away from a hog.

Any one have a bulldog do that before?

Maybe he felt sorry fo teh little guy?....

One of my Stag Dogo crosses, retrieves the little ones. Grabs them on the run and brings them to me nearly un-harmed, unless he breaks their back on the grab. I take a hold and he drops them into my hand. On a big hog he requires a break stick. Very funny to watch.

My old catch dog Cotton will not harm a small hog. He justs holds them down but rest assured he will be caught on a big one.

Had a sow in my pen have pigs...they could go in and out of the panels, and got in the yard when my bulldog was out.  He ran one down and held it there with his front paws till my wife got to him and he let her take it...funny phone call to get at work
