Do the dogs do better in a kennel verses on the ground. All of mine are on ground but was thinking about putting all of them in a kennel. All thought appreciated

I keep mine on ground too but I like kennels...just never had the money for what I want.

I am gonna kind of do a half and half in the spring though. I'm gonna build a 4X8 platform in each pen. Mount their barrels on platform and do a half roof. Keep them out of the weather better and give them a dry space during the rainy days like we're getting now. My pens are a mess right now.

Kennels are the only way to go. All my strike dogs are on cement and bull dogs on chains. I have to worm and fedd extra to the bull dogs. If i did'nt have stray dogs come to my house trying to breed my bitches the bull dogs would be on cement too.

I built 5 6x10 kennels off the ground on treated deck boards. They are nice and great for pregnant gyps and puppies but my adult dogs did not like em at all. They didnt look as good and didnt seem as content as they do on chains.  My next kennel set up will be 1/2 deck 1/2 on the ground so they can do their business on the ground and have plenty of shade/shelter from the rain and texas heat in the summer.

Yes sir. I have pics of my current ones now, coulda been a little better planned out but i just drew up a sketch figgured my dimensions and went and bought everything i needed. Myself and my good buddy joshstokley went after it! Many screws and many alcoholic beverages were utilized lol! Here is the result.
