In the past three weeks of hunting
It  seems like all we catch is boars
Don't get me wrong I like catching any nice hog big or small
So I looked in my book that I have an the group that I hunt with
To see in the past three weeks we have caught  twenty one boar an one sow
Has any of u guys been having this happen where it seems like all you catch is one or the other

when i was hunting heavy  [with the catahoulas]  i had times like that  cur dogs just love a hot track or a wing current and go for the strongest scent wich is the boars , least that's my philosphy on the subject .  seems like when i started crossing on the hounds i started mixing it up a little more  .

I would assume boars are easier to trail and smell from a distance due to their scent. Also there sometimes more likely to stop and stand their ground and maybe the dogs learn this and assume their race will be shorter if they trail a boar.

I could care less about catching sows and shoats. I go hunting to catch the biggest boar OR Barr hog out there.

The only shoat I want to catch is a boar shoat, so I can turn him into a Barr  Cheesy
