We had a weekend quota hunt in the Tosohatchee wma it was a good time. My buddy Jason invited me and the old lady , so we brought my 10 month old cur/cat/ab Sailor and my strike dog (his daddy) Buckshot cat/ab. Friday morning soon as we dropped the dogs 15 min in Sailor struck 150 yards out the got in the cypress and it was across a creek so Jason jumped in chest deep water and drug what we thought was a boar but turned out to be a sow once we got it back across. this was before daylight so jason was soaked till afternoon lol.
Nice blonde sow weighed in at 126

we get her brought back to truck loaded her up got drink and headed back out dogs went bout 500 yards north of were we caught the sow and struck again nice little boar hog got the dogs off and gave my old lady the knife for her first shankin. (we always bring um in live so she aint done it yet)
Burly sob weighed in at 142

after that we loaded him up went back out and lost dogs at over a mile out on a runner once we got them back went for lunch. After lunch we headed back out around 430 and 10 min after droppin dogs Jasons dog Zoey (cat) struck up a hog which ran straight at us then zigged and zagged around us threw sawgrass then booked it out 300 yards before Zoey and Sailor stopped it and had caught. Lil 50 lb boar hog we barred and let go

Day 2 Saturday we pulled up to the same spot we caught the first o hogs and within 20 min Sailor was on a hot track and off to the races he must have hit a group cuz he hit 700 yards and Jasons dog Zoey broke the ooposite way and struck she had Smoke with her a plott/ab for back up so we had one caught with Buck hanging it to the ground turned out to be a nice sow. She weighed in at 100 gutted. Jasons brothers first time on hog so we gave him the knife for shankin and let him gut it out and backpack her out to the truck.

hard pic to see hog

Jasons bro Blake backpackin her out

nothing else by noon so we headed back to weigh station checked her in had lunch and rode around decided to drop dogs again around 330, 15 min later sailor and buck split while we were trying to fix Zoeys collar and struck in the palms. Nice little meat hog weighed in at 75 lbs.

That was the last hog after driving around sight castin till dark. Good times and a great hunt with my old lady and my buddys Jason and Blake. Super proud of my pup Sailor he worked his tail off and proved himself worty of my pack along with his mom and dad.
Hope yall enjoy

Hey crackae.  Didn't even realixe it Gil now but I was cleaning a hog right by y'all on Saturday.  Had the sow and real small hog that morning.  We ended up with 5 on Friday.  Three 90-100 lb boars.  Three small 40lb and under.  Was a lot slower this year then I thought it would be.  You goin out next month for second phase?

I only hunted fri/sat morning.  Had surgery this morning so highly doubt ill make it out this week.  You run the powerlines at all?  Lot less of a crowd there.  If u don't mind walking a lot then there are def some good spots beck in there.
