I only do it every now and then...google is a great tool
From what I've found, as long as it is frozen for atleast 24 hrs you are good to go. As far as all out raw, i havent taken the plunge yet. My spare fridge/freezer just took a dump, so i dont have the room. But, when i supplement with it, they love it. I can give them a deer or hog leg after i have deboned it and the next day there is nothing left. The marrow and natural creatin in the meat and bone is supposed to be great for them. You will find people on both siddes of the fence when it comes to a total raw diet on weather to just feed meat or add veggies, rice, etc...
I havent found anyone close to me yet that feeds stricly raw, so that i could sit down and pick their brain.
well...i was gonna give you a link, but it has dissapeared from my favorites. It was a recipe that a guy had that showed a raw diet was cheaper than ol' roy. you just have to have the time and space to do it

From everything I've read, boiling takes away A LOT! And can make the bone brittle. So i started giving it to them raw after freezing then thawing...and like i said before, the next day there is nothing left at all. Also seen where you shouldnt feed raw and kibble in the same day
It saw it on the internet, its gotta be true

I have read/started the raw diet feed. I have Read u should freeze it for 10 days then give it to them. I give it to them frozen to make them work at it. I also put a little kibble as well. But its hog only no chicken or anything.... What else do u put with the Meat?

Cantex I've probably asked you this before so I'll apologize in advance, but how much do you feed?
For example, a 60lb dog gets how much?

I raw feed every other day. I feed a lot of deer meat but also mix in chicken beef and pork. I also feed raw eggs shell and all. The dogs love it and it also cuts down on a lot of skin issues due to food allergies.

I did raw for about 6-8 months, every other day chicken, grizzards, liver, and added fish oil. After the first few days the poop output was cut in half. Dogs did very well teeth, skin, & coat. But it takes some work. I fed my three terriers & price was about the same. Went I was out of town it was too much work for the family so went back to dry food. It has it advantages & disadvantages.

I'm just like the rest I have done it. I was feeding chicken backs dogs looked best they ever had and it was cheap, did take more time and wife didn't want the kids handling raw chicken so ,that cut down on my help. so went back to kibble.
