The NRA sent me this email and I am renewing my membership...

All...we all need to support the NRA because they are fighting for our right to own guns...I believe that after guns it will be hunting dogs and then all types of hunting and then it will be fishing...one day all we will have for entertainment will be watching sports and video games unless we come together and become more active on who we vote for and what orginizations we support...

please read the message below and take action for our rights...

It's not about protecting children. It's not about stopping crime.

It's about banning your guns…PERIOD!

Last week, NRA sat in on a White House meeting that was sold to the public as an "open discussion" about how to improve school safety. But that was a dirty lie.

They didn' listen to gun owners' concerns…they didn' consider any real solutions on how we can keep our kids safe…instead Barack Obama, Joe Biden, and their gun ban allies in Congress only want to BLAME you, VILIFY you, BULLY you, and STRIP you of your Second Amendment freedoms.

Right now, they're steamrolling ahead with legislation that would ban your guns, register your ammunition purchases, and even force you to register the firearms you already own with Obama's anti-gun bureaucrats.

I warned you this day was coming and now it's here. This is the fight of the century and I need you on board with NRA now more than ever.

I urge you to renew or upgrade your NRA membership as soon as possible. If it's more convenient for you to do so online, you can follow this link: www.NRA.org/StandAndFight.
Now is the time when I need you and every gun owner to put an NRA membership card in your wallet and STAND AND FIGHT for our freedom. No one can take your place at the front lines of this battle…if we lose now, we lose everything.

The media has been on a vicious tirade to slander and intimidate you, me, and our fellow NRA members. We've been called terrorists and worse. They've blamed us and our Second Amendment freedoms for the actions of violent criminals and madmen. Our lives have been threatened.

But I won' let these brutal and bitterly personal attacks on you and me go unchallenged. I'll fight freedom's enemies. I'll fight to make our schools safer. And I'll fight for your fundamental right to self-defense and your sacred Right to Keep and Bear Arms.

But my strength, and the strength of our entire NRA organization comes from you and your strong commitment to our membership. I need you in our corner TODAY.

Thank you for your friendship and your support. Your letters and your words of encouragement mean more to me than you could ever imagine.

Together, we will defend our freedom.

Wayne

Folks, if you are gun owners (im sure at least 90% of the members of this site are) now is the time to band together and join the NRA. The NRA is one of the few organizations fighting the obama admin. tooth and nail to keep our 2nd amendment rights safe. any and all support helps. PLEASE join the NRA if you havent yet!

This is funny. Does it really work. I stood up and fought for something on this board and the tdha board I believed whole heartly in. The polls on this site by the voters won. I got ask in my fight was I a member of the tdha witch I thought I was a life time member. Come to find out I was a life time member of the lonestar working dog.  Never the less the people voted and they compromised. Just like they are going to do with guns the people in control don't listen and have there minds made up. They will compromise and let it be. Guess what it worked with the barrs. Why want it work with guns. I'm a realest and see whats coming.

Our household just signed up today so add us to the list. Man as far as the previous post if they come and take yours you have no room to complain if you didn't even try to do something about it.

Im a member of the NRA. Its all politics just like everything else. I try and become a member of every organization I believe in. I'm a member of more organizations than most on here. With the liberals in house its just the way it is. If they build a war I will fight for my right  I'm just saying with the political stance you can see whats coming . Just like the tdha the political stance they compromised with there voters thats all they did. They did not listen to them.

Well sounds like the board members need to be cleaned out and put people in place that are there for what their members believe in

Attitudes like this is what's wrong with our country. Never give up. Once our weapons are gone we'll never get them. Look at china, England, Canada, and Australia. Wake up.

They weren't executive orders but executive actions. Basicly him asking congress to do a bunch of stuff that is already on the books enforcing current laws more strictly with higher punishment. The only issues I saw was him wanting to reinstate the assault weapons ban and ban on clips over 10rnd. The other points were creating advertising programs put cops in schools make all FBI and other law enforcement agencies report and allow access for background checks. Require background check on all gun sales. To encourage and inform doctors of how to report mental health people that may be a threat. There were more but this is the gist.

3. Improve incentives for states to share information with the background check system.
4. Direct the Attorney General to review categories of individuals prohibited from having a gun to make sure dangerous people are not slipping through the cracks.
5. Propose rulemaking to give law enforcement the ability to run a full background check on an individual before returning a seized gun.
6. Publish a letter from ATF to federally licensed gun dealers providing guidance on how to run background checks for private sellers.
7. Launch a national safe and responsible gun ownership campaign.
8. Review safety standards for gun locks and gun safes (Consumer Product Safety Commission).

lol everybody counts  yeah i just saw the list on another site  . and i agree with most . if the govt. would just enforce the laws allready on the books without the aid of   [ plea bargaining ] it would help , in other words do not remove the death penalty for a guilty plea . but will they stop the sicko's   no  because most of them are hell bent on dieing themselves.  mostly by their own hands  .
