Tchunter, remember they hav guns n can shoot back too. Dont know where bristol is, but i'll make sure during my flt training, i'll stay away.
My plans are to get my fixed wing and rotory wing license n do the same. If it steps on toes, take it up with the land owner who is paying for service.

there doing the same thing up in the panhandle to, the deer hunters didnt have a good yr. at day lite they would fly an shoot several 100 rounds and nothing would move. they would fly off the land to try an turn the hogs to keep them on there side but messed up alot of paying hunters

The run a helicopter at my long time honey hole. It has no effect on my hunting. For one, they don't actuallly kill as many as they say. Two, there are plenty of hogs for both of us.

i lost 6k acres to the one in ellis county.one farmer paid him.he killed  am estimated 860 pigs with in a week.ever since then.every farmer in this area has been paying there damn life savings for the helli.pisses me off.and mbennets right.they dont stay on property.iv watched them numerous times fly off land and hogs around for that matter.
not worried if they shoot back.most are only two seaters.one shooter and piolet.i specialize in certain things.im just tired of hearing about it and seeing the remains of whats left.

If y'all had better dogs they wouldn't need to call out shooters.
We don't have helicopter gunners in Georgia but the night vision hunters are taking quite a few hogs. I hunt mostly swamps so they don't affect my hunting too much.

If they r crossing onto private property u can call the faa n report their tail number n that goes for hurassment of the wildlife. I would also call in for the waist of meat. The faa dont put up with low flying wildlife and human harassment. Them helo pilots hav a job to do, but if they dont stik to their filed flight plan n path with out prior reqests n changes to their plan except for emergenies.

my dogs are just fine thankyou...i feel they get free roam of what ever the hell moves.no matter where its at.as if they dont have respect for other hunters having fun.there in it for the money not the sport.like most of us doggers are.we love to hunt..but to me there just out there to make a quick buck.

The word is a farm I hunt is gonna get one to come fly it. I don't think it will work as good here as out there. Kinda hard to get close enough to push them when there in 100' oaks and pines full of briar patches.

Ur welcome tchunter. They need to obide by the aerial laws just as we have to obide by traffic, huntn n fishn laws. Oh n please dont shoot a helo, they tend not to glide to well n cant pull ovr on the side of the road. Them things fall like a 10tn boulder of mt rushmore.

They are generally doing a lil fibbing on the numbers of hogs they supposedly kill. Critter catcher had a spot last year that we took Around 4-500 hogs off of (big ones sure but most of the sheer numbers came in entire litters of young hogs getting wiped out with dogs mostly but trapping too.) and my point  is not to get pats on the back or anything, BUT I GARUNTEE YOU ray freaking Charles couldn't walk on that land and not find at least two carcasses on any given hike.

Next time a landowner says how many their helihunters killed, just be polite but insistent and ask how many carcasses they had personally laid eyes on.

CWard told me to ask that question and I am blessed to work on a big variety of ranches and still I hear the usual answer "oh I've seen a few of them"

If anyone killed even 40 hogs in a single day they ought to be pretty obvious.

Once i get my license, im gonna try to do it too, but my reasoning is to rack up flt hrs. I enjoyed putn lead down range in iraq at them insurgents but opposite to the insurgents, them pigs dont stink as bad and are ediable.

860 hogs in a week out of a wirly bird... Man I think someone is blowing smoke up your rear. That is ALOT of pigs even for a wirly bird. That is killing 21 hogs a hour, with 8 hours of air time a day. All on 6k acres.... We have been successful coming in after a helicopter and "cleaning" out the stragglers with dogs... In my opinion those are the two best ways to "eradicate" pigs!!!

Heck yeah.  Had a company called down a couple years ago and after meetings with the land owners and big promises they said they killed around 180 in a weekend but no one saw any carcasses and there were a lot of unhappy land owners.  Pilots admitted there was too much cover for the hogs.

Thats what FLIR is for. They can run, but they cant hide n will only die tired.
