Good deal Kevin, out of 11 pups I would be willing to bet there is a keeper in there.

Thanks.

Birgette, it is my litter.  I'm not worried about their performance.  I think you could breed their dad to a pomeranian and they would be hog crazy.  I'm just waiting to see how they turn out as far as health.  You know the typical problems.  Both parents have full hearing, no hip issues, no skin problems, no eye problems, and have good temperment, so I did the best I could do on my part.

She had 13 but I thought that was too many for her.  Then she squished one so she has 10 now.

Why, with all the health issues, do Dogo breeders not just allow a little color in to avoid the problems?  I like a white dog as much as anyone, but I can live with a couple spots Wink

Because the creators of the breed's standard says so.  Anything else is wrong. Everyone knows that.    Even if it can hear and has better health.  Wink

I aint an expert but people on the dogo boards are saying that the deafness has more factors involved than just the color and that breeding some color into the breed wouldnt solve the deafness problem. they referenced people in the bull terrier breed that tried to do something similiar with adding color to combat the deafness issues but according to them it was not effective or successful for that breed and they seem to think that the same results would apply for the dogo breed. again i dont know nothing about it but thats what i heard someone else say. it definitely warrants further research for anyone who is interested in the whole breeding program thing.
