Should have some high powered leopard dogs by Fall. This is my lead dog Skeeter over a gyp I got from John on here, her name is LULU. She is a nice medium range dog I am hoping will add some bite to my blood.  Grin She has real good size and head on her for a gyp. Both dogs are dead silent. I am hoping everything works out, I have them penned up together just waiting  Cool Skeeter is 9 or 10 and has a nice nose and bottom for a cur! There are not many that are better then him winding off a buggy or truck!!!!  He came from a small ranch around Ft. Myers area. He has been bred twice and is throwing some real nice pups. I will keep 2 and the rest will go to close friends and family!!!! These are not full blooded catahoulas, Im sure somewhere down the line a little Cat is in the mix but I would consider these dogs just FL Leopard Curs.

My hope for this cross is to produce a dead silent, medium range 300-600yards in no sign dog, with good bottom. Skeeter will bay a 50lb pig in the palmettoes and is not what I consider "gritty" or "ruff". LULU should add some of that but keep the nose and bottom. Both parents are bobtail, have good legs under them and are built how I like around 50-60lbs.

LULU on left and Skeeter on right

Hickory Hammock is a great spot! But like you said no dogs and alot of $$$$$. I hunt all over Palmdale, Venus, La Belle, Lake Placid and Sebring. A friend of mine just got property near Immokalee I am suppose to check out. He wants me to cut some hogs for him, he is getting up there in age. My friend John I got this gyp from is a Lykes Cowboy down there, best hunting in FL!!!!

One of the things I like about the FL curr's I've seen is the head. They all seem to have a good size head on em. Good lookin dogs.

Yep thats the pup I was talking about! Out of Newt and Mike Cribbs Sally dog. From what I have heard that maybe the best cross they made over Newt. Seems like all the pups out of that litter are doing above average for there age. I have a few buddies with pups off that cross. Mike just bred that Sally dog again but to a different dog not Newt.

I had a half sister to yours. She was very skiddish and had NO interest in a hog at all. I got tired of fooling with her and gave her back to Judd at 7 months. He called me the other day and said she's making a nice cowdog for a buddy of his down south.
