Started coon hunting on my dads hip but he got out of it when the divorce came around. But as I got old enough to get my own dogs I started jus training catch dogs and I have to say I was pretty good at it. Did tht for about 3 years straight in high school. And got out of it cuz I worked constant on the road. Now I've had my own pack going on 5 years and never been happier!

Started around 1992 for me....so about 21 years almost. Mainly walk hunting, bay and shoot with only a dog or two for many years. Only been using bulldogs, and straight casting type dogs for around ten years. Got hold of a line of dogs I really liked, and have done my best to keep them just as I found them.
Some years I've hunted a lot, and some not quite so much. Finding less and less time since my boys are getting older with birthdays, sports, school events, etc., etc., etc. Around 2004 when I sold my place in Rockport and my boat and quit chasing redfish almost every weekend I hunted a LOT for a few years straight.

Started cat huntin in 1980 down in south texas with two of the best men that a young guy could ever meet. They not only taught me about dogs but about life in general. Hunted hard till my oldest son was born in 1987. Tried to stay with it but my second son was born in 1989 so had to slow down and ended up selling all my dogs. Started going hog hunting with my neighbor in 2001. Got my first real hog dog in 2002 so i guess about 11 years. Been raising my own bloodlines for 6 years now. Dont plan on stopping. Watching your young dogs growing up and doing good is like watching your kids grow up. Makes you proud.

Been hungting for 13yrs. Went on my first hunt when I was 13yrs old with a buddy. Got a bulldog a month or two after. Just turned 26 on Wednesday. I keep a couple Curr dogs to bay and shoot at my honey hole or tag along with friends.

10 years still love a dog that leaves your feet on the run and doesn't stop running or come back until a hog is bayed.
